The iconic Kelly line was originally created in the 1930s by Hermès’ director, Robert Dumas, as an innovative and modern type of women’s handbag. However, it only received the name Kelly in the late 1950s, in honor of Monaco’s princess and Hollywood star Grace Kelly, who was photographed holding the bag across her abdomen to conceal the first signs of pregnancy.
This particular Kelly model, in a rare three-colour design was produced in a limited edition in 1996. The handbag combines three iconic and elegant colours of the fashion house Hermès – rouge H, deep navy blue, and dark green. It thus becomes an exceptional and elegant accessory, suitable for any occasion.
