The November 96th KODL Gallery Auction, taking place on 29 November 2026 at 12:00 noon at Žofín Palace in Prague and simultaneously online on this platform, will present a carefully curated selection of significant works of Czech and international art spanning various periods. The collection of 211 lots, with a total starting price exceeding CZK 245 million, brings together 19th-century art, Czech modernism, post-war art and contemporary works.
Among the auction's most significant highlights is Toyen's rare surrealist painting Finis terrae from 1937, which has remained in a private collection for several decades. Czech modernism is further represented by exceptional collections of works by Emil Filla, Josef Čapek, František Janoušek, František Muzika and Josef Šíma. An important part of the collection is also devoted to landscape painting of the 19th and early 20th centuries, featuring works by Antonín Chittussi, Antonín Slavíček, Václav Radimský and Jakub Schikaneder, among others.
Post-war art is represented by Zdeněk Sýkora, whose artistic development is illustrated by Garden IV (Zahrada IV) and Lines No. 164 (Linie č. 164), as well as Kamil Lhoták, Adriena Šimotová, Jiří Načeradský and Zbyšek Sion. The auction will also include a charity section featuring works by Ivana Bednářová, Pasta Oner, Herbert Slavík and Emma Srncová.
