Vase Barzoj – White

Daniel Piršč is an aristocrat among contemporary designers. With sensitivity and virtuosity, he combines artistic ambition with perfectly mastered craftsmanship, continually cultivating the nobility of porcelain as a material and testing and expanding its possibilities.
The limited collection of Barzoj vases ranks among his most innovative works to date. The vases captivate at first sight, luring and teasing our perception of reality with a unique optical illusion. Is it even possible? Is it a dream or reality? Where does the 2D world end and the 3D realm begin? The artist’s “run‑over vases” are far from mere poetic games with spatial dimensions; they are the result of very carefully considered work with biscuit porcelain, in which he plays with its fragility right at the boundary of surprising monumentality and the laws of physics.
The Barzoj collection perfectly blends the contemporary with the historical. Its vases evoke familiar objects from antiquity, while their remarkable formal language lends them an almost futuristic quality. Their velvety matte surfaces contrast with their glazed interiors, just as their decorative character is balanced by the timelessness of their forms.
