The Classic Medium Double Flap is one of Chanel’s most iconic handbags. Its distinctive design is defined by quilted leather in the signature diamond pattern, a double-flap construction, a leather-interwoven chain strap and the prominent CC turn-lock closure. The 25 cm bag is crafted in black leather and complemented by 24K gold-plated hardware, characteristic of vintage Chanel production. The design traces its origins to the legendary 2.55 handbag, introduced by Gabrielle Chanel in February 1955. Under Karl Lagerfeld, the classic silhouette was reinterpreted, most notably with the introduction of the now-iconic interlocking CC logo.
