DRC is a modest acronym hiding one of the greatest legends of the wine world – Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The offered bottle comes from the Romanée-Saint-Vivant vineyard, situated close to the village of Vosne-Romanée, whose fruit is known for its delicate flavors and silky texture. The 2014 vintage is already suitable for tasting. It opens with notes of cherry, currant, and raspberry, framed by nuances of hay smoke and herbal bacon. Towards the finish, aromas of dark fruit and woody tannins emerge. The wine carries the hallmark complexity of DRC, yet given its age, it is recommended for further cellaring and maturation. The ideal drinking window is estimated to extend until 2045. This bottle originates from a notable European collection and has been professionally stored throughout its life in the cellars of Caves Wengler in Luxembourg, ensuring perfect preservation of all attributes of this exceptional wine. It is accompanied by its original single-bottle wooden case, preserved in excellent condition.
