In the 1990s, Karl Lagerfeld gave this classic a facelift, using closer fittings and modern and more comfortable materials, and created a new collection of ready-to-wear clothing with the CC monogram. The presented two-piece suit consists of a sleeveless sheath dress and a short jacket with flaps in magenta. This colour was an accentuating element in Lagerfeld's Chanel Prêt-à-Porter spring/summer 1995 collection. The suit is made of lightweight bouclé wool, a typical material for Chanel suits. The dress and jacket silk lining is decorated with the CC logo. The simple cut is complemented by delicate decorative stitching on the edges and characteristic accessories - double-C buttons and a silver metal chain at the jacket's inner hem.
The suit is the original size FR 38. The only modification was the dress extension to its maximum length, executed directly at Chanel. The suit is, considering its age, in excellent condition. This suit, a must-have for every modern woman, is the highest symbol of luxury not only for its brand, material, cut and history but also because it will never really age or go out of fashion.
